As for the price of this thing yes it does retail for 1500 to 1600.  Kinda spendy but if you want the bass you will pay the price.  As for the amp(s) that you would use to get this kind of power to it....  I am an authorized soundstream dealer and the perfect amp for this sub is the Tarantula Series which retails for 2600 but we sell them for 1600.00.  If you want the most watts for your money here is the amp you need.  This bad boy has 2000 watts RMS of power and 10,000 + peak.   I orderd one of these solox subs today and am going to stick two tarantula amplifiers on it.  I'll be sure to let you know what kind of db's I get out of this thing.

Here is the link to the amplifier http://www.knu-konceptz.com/Webpage/main/soundstream/tanrantula.htm . If anyone is interested in it just send us an email at sales@knu-konceptz.com and we can get you hooked up.

Make sure that you weld your trunk lid shut, that way they cannot steal it. Make sure that your insurance covers it and save your receipt.

As soon as I get all of the system installed and setup I will for sure get some pics on here to show all of you.... Its going in a 1998 honda civic ex, the only think im working on is getting a 5cubic foot box in the back of that thing. I will make it fit if I have to extend the rear end of the car lol!!  As I said before here it will contain two Tarantula Series amplifiers.. here is the stats on that amp...

RMS @4ohm 2000x1

RMS @2ohm 2000x1

Here is a link for more info on the amp...

If any of you would be interested in purchasing it pls let me as I am an authorized soundstream dealer.

I will have two of these on kicker solox hoping to achive 18,700 watts which I think will not be a problem because this amp peaks at over 10,000.  With all these watts I have to upgrade to a stinger alternator and two optima redtop batteries.  To supply the source to the amp I will be using Pionners 6.5" DVD reciever.  Im hoping to get 160db's out of this system at least but only the meter will tell :) .  What do you guys think it will hit??

With that amount of power going to just one sub, I'm pretty sure your gonna hit in the high 160 range, maybe even 170dbs if you tune the box right. But like I said, please post the pic when you start the install. I really wanna see you put one SoloX in a Civic.....LOL.........

Hey knukonceptz,

Just hook up a hitch to your civic and put a trailer on it and build the box into the trailer. That way if you have a garage you can store it and take it out and boom. People are going to wonder where that sound is coming from, not thinking that a trailer is going to have that kind of sound.
