Hi all, I am installing an auto starter and I can get it to crank but not start.
When I start with the key it will work but not with the auto starter.
I have hooked up all wires including both acc wires and no go.
Any idea's why it won't turn over?

what kind of alarm did you use?Is your car stick or automatic? That car should have a second accessory wire. Double check your wires including your tach wire.

that brand is suspect.grab your digital meter and test the wires to make sure you connected them right. 12volts,ignition,starter,acc.1, acc.2. does that alarm have a tach wire to connect it to your tach wire in your car?

You dont need to know the alarm, or have seccond acc. or first acc, or 2nd iginition.
but your right about tach
check tach, make sure there is a solid connect (no t-tap), also to see if its the right wire.
reprogram it

you might have to extend the crank time. check how long it takes to start with key. most remote starts can extend crank time. if this one cant get new one.

there is usually never a problem with it being off by a few sec. It should always crank and turn over, even if it is short, i know ive done it a few times.
So clearly its a tach problem
