I put a Pioneer head unit in my 1997 Camaro and obviously could not plug in the speed controlled volume cable. It does not appear to cause any problems. Does anybody know of any problems caused by not plugging this connector into something? Other than no speed controlled volume

Yeah i think that speed control volume adjustment will only work on a factory delco or whatnot unit. Aftermarket unit would only need the standard 3 or 4 wires for powering the unit, and the speaker outputs.
