12w7 owners, let me know if you think of anything else i should know!
Thanks again
i just reinstalled my ported W7, on less than 200 watts i can still get the pavement quaking if need be. The SQ response is fantastic i think (under tha params of a ported box) bass is punchy.
only thing i would say as im sure you know, is set the gain according to JL's site. and be prepared to rock the sidewalk.
My sealed box was closer to 2.5 cu Ft. it filled the width of my trunk and was about 13" deep. it was tight but didnt hit the real low notes that the JL W7 is capable of. Good Luck I'm sure you will enjoy your sub.

Your new box is ported?
Should I go with JL's recommended enclosure volume, or try something bigger - WinISD throws out about 2.25 cuft I think

Also, I will be using a 500/1 which will make close to the woofers 750 power handling. Would using a bigger box be of any advantage?
