I know a guy who is selling a used a2x200hq rack amp. The specs and features seem fairly impressive but I get the impression that generally Audiobahn is not well liked in the car audio community.

Is this amp any good, or are all of their products crap? Apparantly it can run @ 1 ohm mono, which the owner was doing, and is rated for 800 watts rms @ 1ohm mono @ 12.5 volts. If I end up with it though I may run it at 1 ohm stereo @ 2 x 300watts @ 12.5 volts (rated) to put less strain on the electrical system.

Would I be wasting my $180 (Canadian)

Thanks

I personally think it is cool looking for a paper weight. It is the bottom of the barrel as far I'm concerned, over-rated & poor quality, just my .02.  As far 180 can. dollars I think you could do better espicailly since its used.

Throw it in the dumpster where it belongs. The specs they publish on their products are so far from the truth it is sickening.

They do seem impressive but audioBLING likes to exaggerate. They are mainly built for show hence all of the chrome and fancy designs.
