I had a kicker kx1200.1 hooked up to 2 12" Image Dynamics IdMax subs and it sounded ok. So I recently went out and bought another kx1200.1 so each sub would have its own amp. I ran a 2 guage power wire to a distribution block with two 4 guage outputs. So I ran 4 guage wire from the block to each amp. I have a 1994 ranger, the subs work but its about as half as loud as the 2 12" on the solo kx1200.1 . What is my problem? Thank you for your time and help

what is the impedance of each sub? what is thier power handling?    Do you have each amp run seperate or do you have them Strapped?
Do you have a high output alternator and upgraded batteries?
lots of answers needed to help you out a litle more

Disconnent one sub and see if it magically louder than before. If so, then one sub is wired out of phase.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
