I am looking specifically for the 'connector end view' for the door lock button in the 2007 Ion.

The button has 4 wires going to it and I would like to know what the colors are and what the assigned task for each wire is please.

My modification that I am doing is adding a lock button to my car. It has power door locks but didn't come with the door button. It's a GM thing. So I have been running a button from a 2005 Cobalt and the wires connected to the button and the BCM without a hitch but I wanted something newer and ordered the Ion button. The problem is that the Ion has a 4 wire harness and the Cobalt version was a 3 wire. Hence my problem now.

So if I may request someone to take a peek into the Saturn world and tell me what the 4 wires do that go to the Ion door lock connector.

Thanks!

bob.

Next time I do an Ion, I'll try to remember to pop out the switch and test it for you.
My guess would be that maybe the Saturn switch is illuminated, and the Cobalt one isn't.

As it turns out, the Cobalt one is and the Ion isn't. Late yesterday I was provided the pin outs for the 07 Ion connector. Of the 4 pins in the button, only 2 are used and these are the white and ground.

These are really all I needed to make this work as planned but it would have been nice to have it lighted. But thinking about it, how many times in the dark do I need to unlock the door?
