Okay, I have a SPDT switch, and in position 1 I need it to turn relay A on.  I have relays A, B, C that need powered on 2nd position of the switch (on-off-on).  How do I isolate relay A from both  B and C in position 1 when in position 2 they all have the same ground?

I know i should use a diode but i'm kinda hazy as to where, and the way the diode will face.  I only need relay A to be energized or grounded in position 1 but  i need relays A, B, and C to be energized in position 2 of the switch.

Your help and expertise are greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you are supplying ground to each relay from the switch, connect the output of the switch just for relay A and the anode side of a 1amp diode to the coil of relay A. Connect the cathode side (side with stripe) of the diode to the output of the switch that also connects to the coils of relays B and C. If you need a diagram, just let me know.
