How's it going guys/gals.  Just found this site from a buddy over on stangbangerz.com, of course after i've already began the construction of my rear seat delete/stereo install.  I have a 93 Mustang Lx hatch, and i have everything listed in my sig, and am going to attempt to build a box out of 3/4" MDF for the rear section where the Alpine 12" type r 2 ohm sub will be mounted, and powered by an Alpine MRP-T757 2 channel sub.  The rest of my speakers are powered by my Alpine MRP-F345 amp.  Just thought i'd say whats up, and if any of you wanna steer me in the right direction to building my tire well sub box, that would be great, i know basically nothing about stereo's.

Also wanted to add, that i'm using 10 guage wire for the subs, Memphis RCA's for the amps, 16 guage for the speakers, and will also be looking around on here, on how to hard wire my Sirius Sportster Radio with my headunit.  Also have a 170 amp alternator.

You want some input on building the box?  What model sub do you have...is it this?  http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/product.php?model=SWR-1222D
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Wow.  Gutted the entire interior, eh?  Are you planning on putting down some dynamat?  Now would be the time to do it!

Your insulation foam stensil looks good.  Are you going to completely seal the enclosure with fiberglass?

Welcome to the12volt.  :-)

I actually didn't gut the interior, it never had any to begin with.  I will be putting all of it back in within the next two weeks.  The only thing i'm putting under the carpet is the factory insulation stuff under the seat, i'm trying to keep weight down.  I didn't plan on making the enclosure with fiberglass.  My plans are to just finish up the stencils, and trace them onto my 3/4" MDF that i bought, and 1/2" MDF for the front half, cut it out, carpet it, and stick it in there.  Does the sub need to be enclosed or anything, or can i just screw it into that hole i cut out?

Also what are you guys using to make the carpet fit cleanly?  I'm wanting this to look like ford did it.
