Hey guys,

I am running 3 JL Audio amps

1 300/4

1 450/4

1 1000/1

All are carrying a 2 ohm load. All channels run.

I have a 2002 Lincoln LSE, with a 3.9 V8 and live in South La. (AC country) with a stock alternator. I just got off the phone with 4 people and the verdict is 50/50 as far as needing a high current alternator to push these amps. 2 say grab a deep cycle battery, and 2 say get an alternator.

Hummmm,,,  ???

1.  Upgrade the Big 3.

2.  Make sure your battery is heavy duty and fairly new.

3.  Install your system.

4.  IF you experience the very noticeable symptoms of lack of current to your car's accessories while playing the system, look into an upgrade to the alternator.  While a lack of current can be missed while listening to a sound system, it will be seen in the headlights.

You're running your components at 2 ohm???

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
