Need your opinion on kicker L7

You can only run at 2ohm because you have a dual 4ohm voice coil sub. Thus, in parallel will equal a 2ohm mono load. I'm only running 750 watts to my S12L7 and its seems to be  too much power.(Why I'm switching to the MTX 9500) So 900 should be more than sufficient.

why does it seem to be to much power? so you cant run a sub at a 2 ohm load to an amp at 1 ohms?

The speaker itself puts the ohm load on the amp

I have the gain on the amp at 1/4, no bass boost, my headunit subwoofer out at +3 (max being +6) and the sub sounds great. Any higher and the sub hits X-Max (over excursion). It could be my box, one little miss calculation can make a box sound like crap. But I think all of our measurements were correct!!!
