Thanks tech_advice, so now If you (Ron) connect the starter output to the vehicle's starter wire and the clutch switch, the vehicle will still start with the key without pushing in the clutch so you'll still need to isolate the clutch switch from the vehicle starter wire with two relays if you do not have a shock sensor bypass output.

On the first relay connect #30 to the purple wire of the clutch switch. On the second relay connect #30 to the vehicle's starter lead. On both relays, connect #85 to the starter output of the remote start, connect #87 to 12V+, and connect #86 to ground.

BTW, if you do have a shock sensor bypass output, you'll only need one relay as this output is usually a (-)200mA  output. Connect the shock sensor bypass output to terminal #85, connect #86 and #87 to 12V+, and connect #30 to the purple lead of the clutch switch.

Errrr.... one more thought, if you do not have a shock sensor bypass, you can just use one relay instead of using two as I described above. You can connect the output of the remote start directly to the purple wire of the clutch switch (as tech_advice said)  and to terminal #85 of an SPDT relay, connect #86 to ground, connect #87 to 12V+, and connect #30 to the vehicle's starter lead. Using this relay will isolate the clutch switch from the vehicle's starter lead and prevent the vehicle from starting with the key when the clucth is not pushed in.

Bah @ 2 hours of sleep...final thought...just thinking about what tech_advice stated...TYPE 1 Switch.  No relays are needed to isolate the clutch switch from the vehicle starter lead...they are one in the same at the switch. oO(..DOH!...my bad, sorry for any confusion)

Hello, Re: my post dated April 3/02 5:52 pm....The way I explained how I had the relay hooked up was wrong in that post
This is how I have it installed now, the remote starter works fine but the car will now start with just the key and without the clutch.
# 30 and #87 are connected to the clutch switch wires, # 85 car ground and # 86 12 volts from the yellow Ignition wire.
Which of your reply's would work best.
I can't seem to get a good pulsed ground to the relay, the ground out is working the passlock module and won't work on both the
car just cranks then stops.
Thanks again
Ron

Take the relay your using on your clutch out all together, run the starter wire from your remote to the purple wire on the clutch switch, this will give you a direct line to the starter, without compromising the clutch switch and will free up the neg out when running lead for your passlock....This will also cure your problem with the car starting with the key and no clutch, because when your grounding that relay it gives the clutch a constant bypass when the ignition wire is charged, to the car it looks like the clutch is pushed in and making contact.....hope this helps, Chris...
Don't share too many install secrets with your customers, pretty soon they won't need you!!!!!
