My alarm is in a 2004 4runner. when remote starting, it will unlock the doors , start the car, and then lock the doors again. Is there any way to change this ? is this an option I can change or is it wired wrong ? I didnt wire it myself so I dont know what it looks like.

Also , anyone have a compustar programmer in the CT \ NYC area ? I want to change the aux outputs to a 5 second latched time

Yes that is a programable feature on the compustars.  It is easily changed with a compustar programmer.  You can also do it with the remote just a little more time consuming PM me if you need i nstructions on this

If your turn off the unlock before start, relock after start setting then the factory alarm will probably go off when you remote start. The installer probably forgot to connect the keysense wire while doing the install. If the keysense wire is triggered, the factory alarm disables itself when the car starts. After he put the car back together he probably noticed his mistake. Instead of taking the dash apart and connecting the wire, he just programmed it to unlock, then relock to prevent the factory alarm from triggering.
