the loop goes on the silver part of the key cylander not the black part.

I got that to work. But now it starts for a cople seconds shuts off and then starts agian. It does this three times. Can you guys tell me whats wrong?

Are you using tach sensing or voltage sensing? If tach what did you use for tach? It sounds as if it is not its not getting a good signal and shutting itself off.
