I glassed my steering wheel

Well soem may know i started on my dash, and i had a aftermarket steering wheel to start off with, and with the whole interior fiberglassed it looked so out of place so i made this one!.

Can people please help me design a peice that goes on top of the dash that i have now that holds 3 2 1/16" gauges?

Strong start but we do have some concerns.

1) For the Gauges currently placed in the center. Are you planning on keeping those there? If so, you will have a lot of glare that you will have to deal with.

2) The steering wheel looks ok. We're assuming that you got that design idea from CAE Magazine. Since it is a yoke style steering wheel,  we are HOPING that you geared your steering for it already (most cars will need a 4:1 steering reduction in order to install this kind of steering wheel) Otherwise, you will not be able to safely steer the car. If it is not geared down yet, put a full loop on the car right away until you gear it down. We love wild designs, but only if it is safely installed.

Ok, now to your request. One of our girls suggested going with a turbine array for the guages. They'll give a nice touch and give it that bare minimum look that will blend with the glass. Our Technologist thinks you should forget the gauges and go HUD (Heads Up Display)

- hey man thanks for the help, as far as glare its alright because it is just a show vehicle, not driven much!

- ya i did get the idea from alpines mini cooper!, im actualy using the factory steering wheel.. and cutting away unneccary parts and mounting it to the wheel that i made!

-I thought of doing something similar to the gauges. but I wanted to have a lot of products shown on the dash, and i was thinking that it would take away from that (i dont know great idea though)

I am leaning towards having 2 tvs, 1 above the steering wheel collumn, and 1 on the passanger side, and having a 6.5" speaker in the center council below the gauges??

- No problem... if it's a show car, then go nuts on your design.

- As for the steering wheel, we thought so. But we still highly stress on getting that gear reduction done. We built a show car about a year ago or so and until we put the reduction, it was a royal pain to get it in place even if was just around the show floor. Just giving our experience.

- We like the dash idea. We're just curious now as to how you plan on using the three 2 1/16 gauges now.
