remote start trouble, 91 ford f-150

Ok yes i bought a cheap unit, but it has been my experience that when it comes to solid state electronics the most exspensive means to many bells and whistles to program. The electronics portion is generally the same. The unit is an aftermarket generation aga1201 keylees entry alarm system with remote start. The keyless entry works fine, the alarm works fine , even the add on power window module works fine, but the remote start does nothing at all. have rechecked wiring , neutral safty switch is grounded, all power wires connected right. the unit is supose to flash the park lights once chirp the siren once wait 6 seconds then start the vehicle. It does all of that but no cranky cranky. Tryed to get ahold of tech support but is just an answering machine with no answers. have even e-mail them with no response. any help would be great guys. Its on a 91 ford f-150 ext cab 5.0L v8 EFI

Use a volt meter to check the starter output wire from the remote starter during activation to see if it puts out 12 volts. sparky

also check hood pin wire.its true!

no 12volts at starter wire the relay module does not even seem be getting signal, and the hood pin wire is not connected at this time. it goes to ground when the hood is opened so it currently is not connected
