I have a 1999 Ford Explorer that the display on the stock radio stopped working. It is intermittent, but there is nothing that I can figure out that starts it working or makes it quit. I have used a multimeter on all the wires both in and out of the unit. If someone can help me with ideas or suggestions or possibly even measurments of what each wire should be I would appreciate it.  PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The solder joints on for the screen could have went bad where the screen meets the board.  Or worse the lcd cracked, at least that is what happened in my brothers truck.

sounds like an internal problem within the radio - purchase an aftermarket deck

I have an explorer, my cousin has one my uncle has one my brother in law has one. That has happened to all of our factory decks. THe face blinks on and off, sometimes on constant sometimes off constant. The easiest way to solve this problem is to BUY ANOTHER HEAD UNIT.1999 Ford Explorer - Last Post -- posted image.
