Cool, just make sure you turn it down if you have the plastic windows because it will false when there is some wind.
captainzab, most dei alarms have the multiplex input now. It has been that way since around 99 when I attended a technical training seminar. Always learning something new is the only way to stay on top.

Thanks again for the help that seems to work. Well somewhat.......I just have to mess around with the sensitivity, having a little trouble getting it correct but I expected that. I mounted the 508D in the center console and it doesn't seem to want to cover the back of my Jeep real well, maybe I expected too much or maybe I just don't have the settings correct yet. I'll keep trying !!!!!

Did I misunderstand or should the 508D work if I mount it in the center console which is wood. It just isn't consistent on picking up and sometimes it won't even trigger the alarm even when I wave my hand directly over the console. I have tried the settings from one extreme to the other.

Many suggested headliner is the ideal or perhaps the correct location for mounting 508D.
If you want the range to cover all around your vehicle without setting it to most sensitive, hook up another 508D is not crazy. This way you get 2 outter circles, one near the front and another near the rear, and of course, there is a little overlapped range but it doesn't matter.
Like auex mentioned, 508D will false when wind blows. It will also false when birds fly by or if you park your car under a tree and a leaf falls. That's why I hooked my warn away wire through a switch so I can toggle it and disable warn away if necessary.
