Hey guys, I installed new door speakers, amps, sub and head unit. The head unit is: Kenwood DDX6019.

When I set the crossover to 80/80/80hz, it does not sound right. Would it hurt my door speakers if I set the x-over to 60hz? Door speakers are Focal K2P's

Amp: JL 300/4 and 500/1.

Any suggestions will be helpfull!

No, that's okay. Experiment with them. Tweaking can take some time.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

It's a tiny bit below the frequency response of the speakers but you won't have to worry about that. The crossovers included with the speakers will filter it back up to 70Hz. It'll be fine. If you are looking for boomier sound, get sub(s) installed and low pass filtered at 60-75 Hz.

If you are looking to do an SQ System, Low Pass the subs at 57Hz with 18db/octave filters 60 Hz is ok too but if you analyze the signal, you'll find that at 65 hz it will spike a little.. >.< Just a little bit of extra info ^-^

In that case, Since the HU x-over does not have an option for sub to be set to 75hz, I would need to set it to flat and use the amp x-over. By the way, at this point both amp x-overs are off. I used HU x-over and EQ for sound setup. My goal is to achieve the best possible sound from different types of music/cd,s. And now I realized that the speakers I own will not just produce quality sound but flaws in recording as well.

There for, I need to find a mid point somewhere.

K2Ps can drop to 60Hz no problem. Gotta love focals!!!!

Thank You guys! I think I figured out what the problem is. My amp is not pushing enough power through them, it is: 75w/ch. I will bridge the amp to run just the front components and run rears from deck power. Those Foacal comp's require at least 100w rms.
