How to test Disarm wire w/o Key cyclinder

If it don't have a key cylinder, it proably won't have a disarm wire. Some new cars only disarm with the factory remote (GM's), while some will disarm by remote or by turning on the ignition. A bypass module may also disarm the alarm, as well as do the doorlocks. If you have a question on a specific vehicle, let us know which one.

Well i don't have spec car that im refering to but i've notiched alot of the European cars are like this

Audio i think

BMW

but some fords are that way now to along with the Chrylers and the new GM suvs

Some disable with key sense as well. It is still a case by case basis and you can find most disarm wires by looking up the wiring diagram as it will tell you if it is even available.Certified Security Specialist

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

I can't recall seeing any car with no key cylinder on the exterior at all. I mean, how would you get in if the car's battery died. They've removed the passenger-side key cylinder from almost all new cars, and a lot of them don't have one on the trunk either......but there should certainly be one for the driver's door. The Acura RL for example.....at least I think it was an RL......appears to have no key cylinders, but on the driver's side of the car, you can remove a decorative plastic cover, revealing the key cylinder underneath.

Every Audi has a key cylinder. On the A8 it is hidden. You have to lift up the handle and look behind it.

Actually my 2005 Corvette *does* have a external key, it's above the rear license plate that allows just for that.  Now being able to get into the vehicle due to a dead battery etc.
