I just installed an amp and sub in my 02 silverado. The problem is that one of the rca plug ripped off when I pulled it thru the carpet. Can this be repaired or do I have to rip the hole thing out and install a new one? Its all wire tied and hidden. I was at the end of my install and bam right in the kisser. Man this is a tuff thing to take. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

cut off the broken plug, strip the outter shield back like an inch or so. strip back the inner shield like 1/2 inch. do the same with another rca with a good plug on it < use the plug end though> connect inner to inner, tape off, connect outter to outter, tape off---make sure inner and outer dont touch. make sense?

You can buy rca ends at radio shack. Just solder the inner conductor to the center pin of the rca and the shield/outer conductor to the outer pin of the rca.

If it was a customer's vehicle then the correct action would be to replace the rcas. Since this is his personal vehicle then it is his choice. Also he stated he had zip tied the wires and it would definately take more then 10 minutes.

I replaced the rca cables. The audiobaun were junk. The wires were so thin it was not worth repairing them. Took about 45 min to hour to replace them.
