will i have any problems in the future if i only fiberglass the top part of my door panel?????

Not as long as you attach the two peices properly.Make sure that you have the two peices screwed together or really well fiberglassed to gether.

so u is sayin if i take the top part off and fiberglass it i can put the pieces back together and attach it back to my door

I am new to fiberglass but i am really interested in doin it. so can sumbody tell me how to put fiberglass on top of hard plastic. a step by step guide would be great

the only two parts of that door panel that actually come apart from factory are the arm rest and the speaker grill cover. the rest of the door is molded plastic and its one piece. and the top of the door, despite looking like hard plastic is not. it has a vinyl over it. my very first attemp at glassing was in my old civic. you cant just lay resin and a coat of mat over it, or else it will crack in time.

i stapled speaker grill cloth over the entire door and soaked it with resin then put 2 layers of mat down.. sanded sanded sanded and then painted. if theres parts you dont want to f/g then do a very good job taping them off.
