my alarm stays in R/S until you hit the brake petal. If the key is in the ON position, it stays running. If no key, then no run after hitting the brake

make sure that your break input wire is connected, otherwise the RS will continue to run untill it times out

does it matter if i test the key without the transponder. the key should take over right? then i must have plug in the wrong brake wire then

i went out and checked mine for what you are doing. The key does not take over. If i R/S and put the key in, turn it to ON, or even CRANK, and back to OFF it does nothing. The alarm runs the vehicle until you hit the brake. The brake is what controls it. U have to hit the brake to move from PARK so thats what it uses.

I have 2 vehicles with R/S and they both operate in this manner.
