I have an Ivad310 and an alpine 5.1 processor. I have the alpine cabel that has an aux connector and an rca connection on the other side. I have the cord plugged in to the processor's aux changer in. I turned "aux on" from my deck yet no sound from the deck. Anyone have a solution?

The system I am currently installing consists of a IVAD310 deck, PXA7201 processor, and several other alpine devices (KCA420I, SIRALP1, etc). While doing some system tests, I used the auxillary inputs in order to connect my laptop to the IVAD310. In my case, I just used the RCA inputs located on the hideaway unit. I had to make sure the aux input was turned on in the menus.
The way I understand your post, this is not how you are attempting to connect the Ipod to the system, rather, you are using an AInet to RCA aux adapter. If you are using the built in aux RCA adapters for some other purpose, then nevermind, but if not, maybe try connecting it the way I connected my laptop.
By the way, once finished, this system I am installing will interface with the Ipod using the KCA420I unit from Alpine.
Let me know if this helps any. If not, I will try to help you figure it out.

I tried the ipod interface and hated it. You can only view up to 250 items and the lag on it is ridiculous. However on a positive note I worked out my problem. All i had to do was ground the audio interrupt in(pink/black) wire. Something so simple that stumped me. Oh well, thank you very much for taking the time to respond.

I'm glad you found your answer.
To be honest, I too hate that Ipod interface. Having tried the new, full-speed Ipod interface,(that doesn't work with the ivad310), I find the kca420i to be unbearably tedious. On the brighter side of it though, at least it may help to encourage the client to play high quality recordings instead of mp3's and aac's.
The irony of playing highly compressed tracks on an a pricey SQ system leaves a slightly bitter taste in my mouth.
