Just installed the remote start in a 97 Grand Am.  I got the 555L bypass module.  The car starts and runs for about 10 seconds and then shuts off.  Before I put the bypass module in the car would start for about 2 seconds and then turn off.  During the remote start the Theft Light on the dash stays on and as soon the car shuts off the light flashed couple of times.  I'm not sure where the status wire is supposed to be connected to on the alarm.  I tried grounding it but that didn't help.  The alarm is a prestige 995.  Thanks.

It sounds like the vehicle is locked up. Let it sit for an hour. This will occur from trying to start with the wrong values.  The blue wire from the L should go to any wire energized during and while the remote start is taking place.  Time and paitence are the virtue. Mel
Someone pass me that bottle.
