We just installed a remote start in a 06 lincoln mark lt.  When we remote s tart it the radio stays on till the door opens.  Is there a way to bypass this so that radio shuts off with the remote start?  I only ask cause the customer might leaving his vehicle in storage cause hes in the military.  Thanks.  Oh, the alarm is a 791xz.  Thank you.

you can use the factory rearm wire to pulse the door trigger.  The only problem you would have is that it would set off the alarm, so you would have to use a relay to isolate it from the alarm.

YOu really don't need to as the radio will shut off after 15 minutes if the door is not opened...

be carefull when pulsing the door trigger. Some starters will pulse on the rearm wire every time you press lock on the remote. This causes the vehicle to unlock the drivers door whenever the doors are locked from the remote while it is remote started. The soulution is to use the pink / YELLOW lock wire from the lock switch in conjunction with the red and yellow wires that correspond to the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons on the door. they are all in the drivers kick. ode isolate each. This arms your security too.
Northstart.....or start it your damn self.
