Are the DEI remotes interchangable?

hi, just wondering if the dei remotes are interchangable...i have a viper 300eps or esp that needs a remote but i can't find my extra one. i do have an automate remote that works for just unlocking and locking doors on another car...will that remote work with the viper 300 alarm...thanks. oh yeah how would you program the remote if you can use it...thanks.

In most cases they are not interchangeable . First you will have to know the exact model of the trans. that you have and then I would call DEI to check there # is 1-800-753-0600

Give it a shot. Open door, turn key on, press valet button, release, press and hold valet button, siren should chirp once, then hit the 1 button on the remote.

DEI remotes are interchangable for the past 8ish years now
They have moved to the newer green LED code hopping.
ALL green led remotes are interchangable. And i think the ESP started it.
The old RED led are not interchangleable and can be used by code grabbers to send the exact code. (not common anymore)
(Im talking about the LED on the remote, the light that blinks when you press any button on the remote)
Note: You Always Dont Get What You Pay For.
