Way too often on this forum I see posts on how do I get these speakers to work on my amp?  My amp is stable at this but my speakers are this, what is the best way to hook them up?

If you walk into your local shop and say I need to buy  2     12s.   The first words out of your salesman's mouth should be (1) What kind of amp

do you have  or  (2) do you know what impeadance you need.    If the guy just grabs some 12s and throws them on the counter and tries to ring you up, You need to know that this guy is not really trying to help you, He is just trying to make a buck.

There are several things you need to know when going to shop for speakers           If you already have the amp you are planning to use, you need to know what the amp is capable of, and how you are planning to run it.  Just because your amp will run 1 Ohm it is not always the best thing to do. Granted it will make maximum power if you do.  But it will probably last you twice as long if you run it 2 Ohm.

If you are buying 2  12s today and plan to add 2 more in a month or so,  you need to take this into consideration.  You need to buy the proper speakers for the 4 speaker setup     If you buy the right  2  speakers today for your amp to perform right     They will be the wrong speakers for your 4 speaker setup.

If the amp you have today is not the amp you are planning to run long term and you have your heart set on a particular amp.   Do yourself a favor and buy the speakers that you are going to need for the new amp.

Hopefully you are reading this before you buy your speakers and won't have to ask what is the best way to hook my speakers up?

My head hurts. No really, I'm getting a migraine... What point exactly are you trying to make with this diatribe?
Wow... Man... A little too much punctuation some places, and not enough in others. Why all the spaces? It's impedance. This subject has actually been tackled several times, and if I am not mistaken, there are two stickies at the top of the list, that combined, say basically this same thing.
Also, notice that the letters FOLLOWING a comma are not capitalized. Don't feel bad, I tear ALL posts apart... (even if I don't always do so in a response)
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Disagree that.  its hard enough for most people to get the amp /speaker matchup right  With what they got NOW, Much less with having to figure out future buys.  Buy the speakers to work with the Amp you have now

and if your going to upgrade in the future then upgrade the speakers when you do

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
