03 Yukon audio wire

Need to find out the color of the wire for the dimmer circuit from the OEM radio harness, I'm installing a new radio and don't have the info on that.

it should be grey if its like other gm vehicles

Use a volt meter to check for dimming voltage on a BROWN / white wire. It may not be at your radio plug as it depends on your radio system. Most of the newer GM radios get there power from the battery lead and dim the internal lamps based on info recieved from the data wire. You can find the BROWN / white wire at many of the switches throughout the dash. They aren't controlled by data and just power the bulbs directly. The gray wire hasn't been used for a few years now.

Thanks, it's just funny that my resourses don't show that wires color code. I'd figure someone here would know.
