I searched and pulled up an old topic where someone was having problems with the bmw's factory security triggering for a brief moment when remote starting and then quickly shutting off the fact. sec. siren..
my question is this, does this happen when you install a remote start with the bmw's factory sec. on the 5 series? I have a customer asking for a quote and im just trying to cover all my bases here. I have limited experience on bmw's , i really have only worked on 3 series, so i have no experience on the 5 series. any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!

the bmw alarm is actually an alpine located behind the glove. ive done r/s in them in the past and never had a problem order the factory immobolizer and wire it in to the original with 2 relays and it will start every time

alright if the car has factory keyless/security can i just add a remote start without having to interface with the locks to disarm the fact. sec? will the car start without tripping the fact. security? I want to avoid having to run wires into the door for locks and disarm (according to dei you have to grab locks in the drivers door, and factory security disarms with unlock)
