I'm doing an install right now, and the bypass module has a negative ground when running wire.  It's an Omega bypass module and an Omega Mars-10.  Can I use a - ignition output for this wire?  It's a 500mA output, and I shouldn't need a relay, just the output, correct?

is the ground when running wire on your remote starter being used for something else?  You should use that wire coming from your remote starter.
