Hey guys. I just bought a new alarm system and my shock sensor doesn't work. I bought the alarm new. I tried a different shock sensor and still no luck. Is there a different way I can hook up a shock sensor using the positive and negative trigger wires ? I don't think the port where the sensor plugs into the alarm brain doesn't work. There is no option on the alarm where you can turn off the shock sensor.

Here's the alarm system I bought : http:///.com/ebaymotors/dll?ViewItem&category=6746&item=1866863703

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks... Andy

If you want to you can wire it up that way.  Red is 12v, Black is ground, Blue is instant trigger, and white is warn away.  You will lose the dual stage feature by doing this though, since there is no place to hook up the white wire.  You should test the four prongs on the alarm before and see if they work that way.  Stick a test light on ground and touch the prong where the red wire goes, if it lights up then it is getting power.  Then touch the prong where th e white wire goes and see if you get a few warn away chirps.  then the blue and see if it sets off the alarm.  If those three test properly then put the test light clip on 12v+ and test the prong that the black wire goes to.  If one of these do not test properly then you will have a defective unit.
