Prestige aps 997 on 06 Tundra DC

I have the aps 997 prestige by audiovox on my 06 Tundra DC. I am having a problem with the unit sending a negative lock pulse to the relay. When I manually give the relay a negative pulse, it works fine. The unlock works when given the disarm command. THe lock wont send a pulse when given a command. Is there a safety feature keeping the 997 from locking on arm? Thanks ToDDR

Is it a 4 door or two? The 2 door(even extended cab) requires a negative pulse whereas the 4 door needs to have a relay added to the drivers door just like a Sequoia. Mike M2

4 door double cab, I did the relay and it works. Just no - pulse to the relay from the 997 thanks

Hmm. And you've tested the red lock output wire directly from the 997? Not hooked up to anything else.......just uplug the lock wires from the 997 brain, and test right at the output pin. Also, when you press "Lock" on the transmitter, do you at least get a siren chirp and light flash? If not, you might have an issue with the remote; maybe it isn't programmed right. As a last resort, the BLACK/ green "pulse after start" also pulses with lock........so you could use that for your lock wire. Just remember that every time you remote-start the car, it's also going to lock itself, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

yes, i tested the pin with nothing hooked up. Yes it chirps when armed and indicates it is locked on the lcd remote. i will try the other wire you spoke of, thanks
