I have the flip down monitor installed, but i need to know best way to connect the power wire to a 12 volt source and where to ground the ground wire.  I'd like to go straight into the fuse box with the power if possible.  I also have to repeat the procedure for the DVD player when it gets here.  My vehicle is a 2000 tahoe, but any help on using an "add a circuit" or other method would be appreciated.

Thanks

You could ethier just goto the ingition harness for 12vlts or the battery, any paint free metal will work for ground

I would go straight to the ignition harness for the switched ignition & constant power ( make sure that you fuse the wires as well ) & the ground you can use any clean metal of the chassis as themagicone stated.

I have a 2001 tahoe that that I want to do the same thing.  What brand / part numbers did you use?  Are you going to use an FM modulator?  what overhead console do you have?  Where did you get it?

As far as your connections go, use the fuse block. Go to autozone and in the wiring section are adapters that will allow you to add a fuse.  I ussally don't buy products from autzone, but these are good.

Here is a link the shows ATO, you will need the mini.

I used a Boss BV-8 flip.  It is actually a bit tool large to fit evenly on the hump caused by the croos support on the roof, I will needsome foam trim to make it look its best.   I removed the stock dome light and mounted my bracket straight to the support where the dome light had been screwed.  I than ran the cable through the support to the door jam and down behind the trim.  Then under the floor trim for the jam and used the add a circuit for power from the radio fuse.   Worked great and wasn't even hard.   I am not using an FM modulator right now.  The flip screen has speakers in it and the video/audio/power all run through a DIN cable.  I may replace my current CD player with the DVD player that way I will have the option of playing it over the truck speakers.  UPS lost my DVD player, (BOSS 6000) I'm hoping it gets here this week

thanks for the info, I was thinking on the myron&davis unit.  http://myronanddavis.com  But I didn't know where it mounted.  I have rear AC, so I wonder if I can do away with that control and just use the front?  Sounds like you will have an awsome set up.  let me know how it turns out. if you have a camera pics would be great.
