What's up everyone...... need some help on this one if you have anything please post.
1996 Ford Ranger Manual
6 pin Clutch switch :
Pin # 1 : 5 Volts at rest with ignition turned to the ON position. GROUND when clutch is presses.
Pin # 2 : Rests at ground in all postions
Pin # 3 : Rests at 9 volts and GROUND when clutch is pressed with ignition in the ON position
Pin # 4 : Rests at ground in all positions
Pin # 5 : Rests at ground in all positions
Pin # 6 : Rests at 4 volts in ON & OFF positions and goes to 12 volts when clutch is pressed.
I wired in a relay to 12 volts under start to wire # 6 and nothing. I cut wire # 6 and applied 12 volts to the clutch wire and nothing happened. I applied ground to pin # 1 & 3 while applying 12 volts & still nothing. Truck still starts with the key & manually pressing the clutch but I can't figure out this stupid Ford clutch for this Ranger.
Anyone here think they know what's going on ?

Try applying ground to 1 and 3 as well as 12 volts to 6.  See what happens.

In the Fords, I just normally run my start wire out to the solenoid under the hood.

Did that already. Still nothing. Ended up going straight to the starter for this one.
