Matrix RS 3.5 wiring

Right, i got that, but on the second start resistor, pin 85, the purple negative start wire, where does this hook up to. The starter wire in the vehicle? key side, or motor side?

The second starter wire is PURPLE / brown. you must send a negative thru a 180ohm resistor during crank...Mike M2

ok, not sure if i wrote this right. I have the acc relay hooked up, on the second starter relay, i have pin 87 grounded with a 180ohm resistor, 86 is +12volt, 30 is going to the 2nd start wire, motor side. Pin 87a is nothing, pin 85 is purple negative start wire, according to directfax 1084. What is the purple negative start wire is what im asking, is it the starter wire in the vehicle, or is there a wire coming off of the unit that this goes to? Thanks for any help.

The truck ahs two starter wires, one positive, one negative. One gets a positive from the RS thru the fat green, the other gets a resisted value negative supplied thru the separate relay. The purple wire they mention on the 1084 is the wire on the small 4 pin plug next to the ribbon cable on the relay pack on the 3.5....Mike M2

Ok, thanks. I got that hooked up, as of right now, when you hit r/s, the acc powers up, but the truck just makes about 5 quick ticking sounds, repeats for 3 times, then quits. Any ideas?
