I am trying to fix a messed up 04 impala. Whoever owned it last butchered it.  I replaced stereo with a pioneer and used the relocation harness to move the factory deck to the trunk. The factory deck is not the original I beleieve because it says Monsoon on the front, and Grand Am 03 is written on top of the radio. There is a factory amplifier under the rear deck in the trunk. Well the factory deck goes on and off when it gets jarred and in effect shuts off the factory amp. Is it possible to turn the amp on from the pioneer deck, and if so what wire. Should I ditch the factory deck altogether and use  the Peripheral GMCO.  If I use the GMCO will it integrate with the factory amp just fine, or will I still need to turn the amp on seperately? Any other suggestions would be great too, I have really only dealt with GMCO's in Cavaliers, so those of you with more experience are appreciated. Thanks on advance.
Good Luck!

I would use a GMRC-01 or an equivalent and ditch the factory deck.

you don't need the factory deck. all you need is a databus interface harness, like a gm09 from scosche or something similar. no need for a relocation harness.
Whatever you do, DO NOT let the white smoke leak out of the wires.....
