Does anyone have any experience with these yet? I'm toying with the idea of not taking up any cargo space in my element and going with one 10" shallow mount. I already know that these subs are extremely inefficient. But .6 cu ft ported has caught my eye and being able to have the box very shallow as well!!!

I'm not, just looking at small enclosure and clean sound. I would prefer more SQ this time around!!

Have you looked into a stealth box by any chance?

That's what my Infinity Kappa Perfect's use- .6 cu ft. You might look into one of those. A little quick math on the calculator revealed that the shipping boxes had roughly that internal volume- around .57-.58 IIRC. I filled the box with packing peanuts, and used that as my guide to size the fiberglass enclosures. Once they were complete, I mounted the woofers inverted so it wouldn't take any of the internal air space, and since they're in the rear quarter panels, the spare tire is fully accessible.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

ED has finally put out their SQ10...shallow mount driver, less than 4 inches mounting depth, a real suspension and surround, unlike the Pioneers "air suspension".
I'd get the SQ10 for 55 bucks rather than the Pioneer for more than twice as much

I have last years Pioneer shallow in my wifes Excursion rear door with about .9cf. Driven by a Pioneer Premier 7150. It impressed me so much I am putting a complete Premier system in my Vette. I am very happy with it. It sounds good and hits hard.
