pictures on an avic-n3

i am trying to install my own backgroung pictures on my avic-n3. i am creating a "bg" file and copying it onto a cd-r, but my unit keeps saying "disk read error". what am i doing wrong?? i am copying them in jpg format, also.

You need to create a BG folder, not file. You also need to make sure that you are placing the correct sized JPEG pictures into that folder. The Manual for the unit tells you the pixel dimensions that will fit.
