what do think about a Hifonics BX 2200D
2200 Watts Class D Mono Amplifier or a
 Hifonics BX2005D
1 x 2000-Watts Super D-Class Amplifier. the reason why i am asking u this is because i have 2 12 audioque sd 2.5 and they are 500 rms each. power by a elemental design nine one amp which give off 1200rms@1 at 12.5  but it seem like those speakers are eatting that power from that amp. When i talk to the owner of dd and audioque they said they can handle what ever power u give them so i was wonder do u think those amp would be better for me. yes they are in a  customs built box i that i built 5cuft 32 hz

Well...that amp is a little overrated..but its a good bang for your buck.
Why not get another 9.1 and strap em together???

I would much rather strap two 9.1's than get a Hifonics.
I've been over on the ED forums for a while and looks like they've gotten their crap straightened out and are good now

LOVE THE AMP, been using HIFONICS for some time, running the 2005D on my subs, ALPINE SWR 12's, they love them. I've used pricier amps, but have had great results with them...Solid, kind of like a Fosgate amp.

I consider myself more than capable to recognize good brands when I hear them, but since I had never heard of ED, if you will, I looked it up, do dilligenced it up and realized, it's doodiety doodie. HIFONICS has a serious history, and has made some great amps... go with the gods Michael K.

just got a 1606D hifonics and i think they are overated cause i have em hooked uo to 2 rockfords P2 10 s4 200 Watts rms each. They are hooked up at 2 ohms which is supposed to give 900 watts rms and the volume knob is 3/4 way and the RF are still hitting hard. Was scared they'd blow the RF but they didn't BUT i must admit they are great sub amps with only a fraction of the current draw. Then again i'm running at 35 Hz which requires much more power than running at 45 or 50 Hz but the quality of the bass was tremendous compared to my lat amp which was a power acoustic LT980. Overall i'm satisfied with the amp would recommend it to anyone.

Tuning frequency does not effect your power output or efficiency. And most daily driver systems are tuned anywhere from 30-35Hz....45-50Hz would be more for an SPL Burp setup...
As for Hifonics amps, theyre a great amp for the price. They put out close to thier rated power and I know that the brutus series holds up well at 1ohm. overall I would give them a 3.5 out of 5 stars...
ED is also a great company and two strapped nine.1's would also be a great choice...Its all a matter of personal preference and experience...

Blowing up in a car accident doesnt worry me, as long as I'm putting out some major dB's when I die...
