Hey folks, well my buddy has an 04 Alero and he was putting in a remote start and he unplugged one of the bcm harnesses (plugged it back in too!) and now his radio will only work in accessory. If you start the car with key or RS the radio will not come on. when you shut off the car it will come on and play until you open the doors. The brown (accessory) wire has power when the car is running.
any suggestions??
Thanks in advance.

Thats a strange one..perhaps someone knows exactly what would cause this and will post..if not what I would try first is disconnecting the battery for like 10 minutes..and the reconnect it and try again. The RAP circuit might be messed  but the battery trick might "reset" it..worth a shot. and for giggles you might want to check every fuse in every fuse panal of the vehicle..these newer GM's do weird stuff sometimes due to a blown fuse..also make sure you didn't unplug anything else that may be loose.

Is the radio stock or aftermarket. Try the battery reseting it could work. Also add kind of remote start and model #.

make sure he didn't tap into the wrong wire on the bcm when he did the rs too. My gues is the rap is messed up and a hard reset will work....
