Your brake wire has voltage on it. Test your brake wire to ensure that there isn't 12 volts on this wire.

thanks for the response but like I said, the ignition turns on with all the accessories and all, and I am able to go to reservation mode but when I try to remote start, the ignition just turns on and the error I get if it isn't "key on" it is "reservation mode" if I forget to release the foot brake before lifting the e-brake.  I will try to reset the remote to its factory setting and see how it goes.

Test the brake wire for voltage when in ready mode if you get a " KEY ON " error and if you get the reservation mode error, then check to see that your hood pin switch is not grounded. Remove the pin switch wire to confirm for the reservation mode error. Never assume when trouble shooting problems because it's going to be the one thing that you thought wasn't the problem.

good news!  after resetting the remote to factory settings, I tried to remote start the car while inside, in the meantime depressing the clutch-voila!  the car started!  it must be in my clutch switch bypass.  I grounded one of the clutch wire by connecting tapping it and connecting to 30 with 87 to ground and 85 a 12V constant source and 86 to the status out wire from the alarm.  because I just tapped the wire that I can ground(tested it beforehand), the circuit is still not open.  If I cut this wire with the one going to the clutch to 30 and the other 87a(with continuity) and 87 wire to ground it will keep it open when the relay is activated, there will be continuity in 30---87  and 87a is open.  Is that correct.  I think I'm getting closer at this.compustar 2w900fmr remote start problem - Page 2 -- posted image.

it works!  the clutch wire had to be cut(red),  the end from the ECU goes to 30, the other end going to clutch switch to 87a and 87 wired to ground.  85 with a 12V constant and 86 to (-) status out from the alarm unit(CM3000) also the same output of the transponder/immobiliser bypass unit with blocking diodes applied to each wire(striped end towards the alarm unit).  thanks to all the input and advice-it was a very fruitful install and this alarm unit/AS is just incredible.

now after installing the 2W900FMR, I'm ready for other projects!  Which is the "ground when armed" wire output of the CM3000 alarm unit?  I want to install the 507M and the 508D and although the CM3000 clearly have separate input for 1st and 2nd stage sensors, it doesn't specify which output is gorund when armed.  Again, thanks for this site for the wealth of knowledge in helping me with the install.

I just checked again the CM3000 unit and there are "potential" ground when armed output.  are these correct?  CN#5 PIN#1(orange) rearm wire? which gives a (-) pulse when armed or CN#1 PIN#5(violet) which is (-) when armed out.  the reason I do not wnat to use the latter is because it is connected to the starter kill and I do not want to lose that capability if I wire it incorrectly.  any suggestions?  thanks!

I saw your diagram in your website, will it not affect the starter kill in any way?
