MA Audio SY7011DX

I had a MA Audio SY7011 DX amplifier pushing a JL12W7 in my 1994 Buick Park Avenue. One day, the amp wasn't powering up when I hooked up the remote wire, so I checked the fuses. Every fuse in the amp was blown, so I went to go replace them and as soon as I put the first one in, there was a spark and the amp started smoking a little bit so I unhooked the amp right away. Now every time when I hook it up, the digital display still comes on perfectly fine, but I can see parts getting cherry red and the amp again starts to smoke so I unhook it. I had it hooked up in my car for roughly 2 years with no problems whatsoever until this happened.  Is there any way to fix the amp or is it shot? I was running 4 gauge power wire to a battery hooked up in my trunk and from there to a fuse distribution block with a 100 amp fuse then to the amp.

Remove that thing from your vehicle immediately before it burns your car down.  It's shot.  If it's under warranty take it back where you bought it for repair.  If not, use it as a door stop and buy a new amp.Support the12volt.com
