It probably took about 10 minutes to strip it down.  After that it took around 4-5 hours to do the rest of the deadening and put it back together.  It is Raamat by the way.  I would HIGHLY recommend buying that instead of Dynamat

Nice work. Ive been thinking on a custom dash in my car and its nice to see how you did it.

Will that dash be removable?

Yes, the dash is completely removeable.  I've got everything ready for paint except for the amp rack and I HAVE to be done with it by next weekend so I can start on the body work on the truck and get it ready for paint.  I got my new 22's last week and my beltech lowering kit.  Still gotta order my katzkin leather next week.  I will hopefully have some new pictures up soon.

you have the only pics of a making of fiber glass dash i can find. just like to thank you for that. in a few months id like to make my own custom dash. can you run me by the steps of the frame work?

Strip down obviously. Then you make a Frame out of MDF. Do you mount parts of that MDF frame to where the original dash mounted? Then streatch /staple your cloth and apply resin?
