Wiring aftermarket actuators?

Hi guys. I'm bought a power door lock kit to install in my 1979 Chevrolet Monte Carlo. The car doesn't currently have door locks. The lock kit came with 2 wire actuators and I want to install it to work with the original switches. I'm pretty sure the switches are the 3 wire positive type. I've tried hooking the switches up with 2 relays according to the diagrams listed on here. With the 3 wire positive diagram I could hear the relays clicking, and the switch was sending 12v to the lock unlock wires properly. When I tried to connect the actuators though, neither one did anything. I switched the wire connections on the actuators and it didn't change anything. I did read on another post to hook up aftermarket 2 wire actuators you have to use the reverse polarity diagram. I tried this, but all it did was blow fuses. The relays didn't click, nothing. I've checked my wiring two or three times with this set up, and my switches are grounded. I'm not sure that the way I want to do this is possible. Do I need to buy Original Equipment actuators maybe? Thanks!

did the kit come with relays or did you buy your own, make sure the relays are SPDT. pins be 30, 85,86, 87, and 87a the middle should be 87a, not 87. did the car have power lock b4, im not sure what you mean by "original" swiches.

Thanks guys. Turned out I had relays with two 87 pins instead of one 87 and one 87a. Works great now!
