I bought a remote starter off e-bay for my wife for christmas thinking I could install it myself.
The guy claimed it would be simple but it's definitely not something I want to attempt.
What can I expect to pay a professional to install this?
It's an Ultra Starter 1270tl and an Omega Pass-4 key bypass. It is going on a 2006 Ford Escape Limited.
Also how is the quality of this equipment? Thanks, Bill

A lot of shops will not install product not purchased from them as they can not warranty the product itself.
If you post what area you live in, maybe someone on here would be willing to take the job and quote a rate.

i install ultra products but charge $160 for unit installed +$60 for bypass installed and $30 for locks.  that gives ya a idea. but as said nobody will warrenty the product and if they dont install ultra wont touch it, such as i wont touch a brand i dont normally install...

We would charge $75 an hour labor and it would take probably about 2 hours since we are not familiar with the equipment.

it would take closer to 3 hrs with doorlocks and everything because u have to run 12v to the battery.

Again Post your location and someone may take it on...
I usually charge a little extra WITH an agreement that I can only guarantee my work - not the equipment.

I live in the Indianapolis area. I found a shop about 20 min away and they quoted me $150.00 includes keyless entry.
They can't get to it until Tuesday but it sounds like a fair price. Thanks for all the replies, Bill
