First of all, let me tell you guys how much of a fantastic resource this site has been, great job.

I've almost complete the install of a Autopage remote starter in a 2000 Malibu. I've found and installed everything okay, apparently, but am having some difficulty locating the "Neutral Safety Switch" wire. I know it's a yellow wire, around the "driver's side electrical center" or "left side bussed electrical center" but I'm not exactly sure where to locate this. I'm assuming it's not one of the likely 20 or so yellow wires going in to the ECM.

thanks!

Mike

You can just ground that wire, the car won't start unless it is in park or neutral.

Really??? It's that simple? I didn't even consider that actually. Figured with all the wiring directly to the ignition and such, it bypassed ALL the safety features. I have it wired to ground now, just to test other aspects of the installation, but I actually never tried to start it in drive. Hmmm, I'll give that a test and see how it goes!

Thanks much!
