Looking for help with a avital 3300 install in a 98 explorer with the anti theft system. Can it be disarmed and not used anymore without a module? or do i have to retain it and use the module?????

I imagine it could be removed but wouldbe expensive and maybe hard I would keep it since it is a very good theft deterent.

find the disarm wire dark green /violet and ground it  verify with key and meter.

Also, look up above the brake pedal, off to the left.  See the big black thing that looks like a suitcase handle?  See the thick wire harness above it?  You can get the tan / YELLOW tach wire in there.

Also you can grab the tan / YELLOW tach wire in the driver's kick along with a - hood pin wire that is tan/green
