I'm trying to find out some info for a friend on a 2006 Ford Taurus that did not come with key less entry from the factory. The problem is that the after market key less will work fine for a few days then slowly quit working, and starts setting off the factory antitheft, however the trunk pop feature will continue to work fine. It has had two Vipers, and an off brand system installed trying to correct the problem, but it still persists. Any idea as to what is going on? I don't understand why it surfaces after a few days from installation, and not immediately. It has the installation guys stumped at the place she had the work done. They have even contacted another shop, and the Ford garage to no avail. Everyone seem to be scratching there heads.

At the GEM, pass side under dash, find the factory disarm pink/white NEG(-) and the unlock pink/green, also NEG(-) trigger both at the same time. Diode isolate. The cathode towards the GEM. Then for lock and arm...in the same connector find a red, and a yellow. (2 wires) rtrigger these together with your lock output, diode isolate as well. You shouldn't need relays.

PS the trunk release is there as well, purple / YELLOW NEG(-)

If it's setting off the factory alarm, then it most likely did come with OEM keyless but the remotes must be missing. It only happens after a few days because they are randomly using the switch on the door to lock the doors. If it truly is setting off the alarm, diode isolate and hit the pink/white and pink/green as mentioned above. If no alarm is sounding, but the doors won't unlock, hit the yellow/black and pink/green at the same time. You will also need to set for double pulse or they will have to hit the button twice.
