Looking into a new H/U. Have been using the oringinal Pioneer ipod cd-ib100 I think it is, but it is soo slow. Anyone have experience with Alpine or Clarion ( I like the vrx765vd) Are any of these any faster?

I too am curious about this...I love the fact that my iPod hooks up directly to my deck, but even with the knob on the deck it is all but useless for scrolling through band/album names. Good for playlists and shuffling though.

The Alpines with the FullSpeed connection are fast IMO, but nothing is gonna be as fast or as intuitive as the iPod itself.

We sell alot of the alpines they do alright . The bad thing about the alpines if you dont go with the 9857 you only have 1 line of display. Also with the 9857 u get percentage search which is a neat feature. But from what ive seen almost all the 06 hu are alot faster than the older version hu.

I'm using the secong gen Pioneer iPod adapter and I think it's pretty fast. I haven't compared it to any other iPod adapters so I can't tell you if it's good or bad. but for me it's fine.
